We waited for this new stainless steel version and finally invested in a vitamix. The bolt was sheared so as soon as we poured water in to make a smoothie, it was leaking out of the bottom.

Unfortunate but perhaps a random glitch. I'll give the benefit of the doubt as we wait for a replacement because the customer service person named Sharon has been wonderful. So 4 stars just for her and I will hope to add another one when we receive the replacement and it turns out to be a worthy product. How refreshing to deal with a human being who is responsive and helpful!!! Thank you Sharon.

Great blender, love the steel container, the vortex action is really good. Just wish it was less noisy on the highest setting, and started a little slower, had a clean function without having to do it manually. Otherwise no regrets, there isn't anything else out there if you want stainless steel, the x2 would get significantly more expensive.
